The PMC-1380-3 is an industrial communications processor designed to connect multiple serial devices to an IP-based Ethernet LAN. It enables SCADA, monitoring, control and automation systems to remotely access RS-485 and RS-232 devices through standard Ethernet networks.

The PMC-1380-3 supports transparent Ethernet gateway communication through direct TCP/IP connections. Depending on the selected model, it provides 12 or 16 RS-485 ports, with an optional four RS-232 ports, making it suitable for centralized communication management of large numbers of serial devices.

The basic model includes dual 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports, with options for additional 10/100BaseT ports or 100BaseFX fiber Ethernet interfaces. Available network configurations include one, two or four 10/100BaseT ports, providing flexible connectivity for different industrial network architectures.

An optional RTU model includes 4 GB of non-volatile memory for local data storage, logging and industrial automation applications. The built-in black-and-white LCD display allows convenient local status monitoring and operation.

Designed for demanding industrial and commercial environments, the PMC-1380-3 supports an extended operating temperature range and provides 3 kV isolation protection on its RS-485 ports, helping improve communication reliability and protect connected equipment from electrical interference.
