Product Details
The PMC-518D 18-Channel DIN Rail Remote Terminal Unit with 1ms SOE Logging is designed for centralized status acquisition, utility pulse counting and remote equipment control in building, factory, substation and utility automation systems. Its DIN rail enclosure, large backlit LCD and front-panel configuration controls provide convenient installation, local monitoring and password-protected setup.
The PMC-518D comes standard with 18 self-excited digital inputs for external status monitoring and WAGES utility pulse counting. The inputs support voltage-free dry contacts and are internally wetted at 24VDC. A 1000Hz sampling rate and minimum 1ms debounce time enable fast and reliable detection of external contact changes.
Depending on the selected configuration, the unit can be equipped with six or eight Form A mechanical relay outputs for remote control applications. Each relay output supports a maximum load of 5A at 250VAC or 30VDC, allowing the PMC-518D to control breakers, contactors, alarms and other external devices through an automation system.
Optional analog input configurations provide two 0–20mA or 4–20mA DC inputs for connection to external transducers. The analog inputs offer 0.5% accuracy, programmable zero and full-scale values, and a maximum overload rating of 24mA. They can be used to collect standardized signals representing pressure, temperature, flow or other process measurements.
The built-in SOE log stores up to 128 time-stamped events with ±1ms resolution. Recorded events include setup changes, digital input status changes and digital output operations, helping operators analyze event sequences, equipment responses and system faults more accurately.
A battery-backed real-time clock provides an accuracy of approximately 6ppm or 0.5 seconds per day. The clock can be configured through the front panel or remotely through communication, ensuring reliable timestamping for SOE records and operational events.
The standard optically isolated RS-485 interface supports the Modbus RTU protocol at selectable baud rates from 1,200 to 19,200bps. This allows the PMC-518D to integrate with CET PecStar iEMS, PMC Setup, SCADA platforms and third-party building or industrial automation systems.
The unit accepts a wide-range 95–250VAC/DC power supply, consumes approximately 5W and operates from −25°C to +70°C. Its dimensions are 180 × 94.5 × 57.5mm, and it is designed for standard DIN rail mounting without special installation tools.
Typical applications include equipment status monitoring, remote breaker or contactor control, WAGES pulse counting for water, air, gas, electricity and steam, as well as building, factory, substation and utility automation.
