The PMC-521D-A5 DI/DO Monitoring Terminal is an intelligent industrial monitoring and control device designed for automation systems requiring centralized digital status acquisition, pulse counting, analog signal monitoring and remote output control. Its compact DIN rail design and large backlit LCD display simplify installation, local monitoring and password-protected configuration.
The terminal provides 21 digital input channels for external status monitoring or utility pulse counting. Depending on the selected configuration, the digital inputs support dry contacts, internally wetted 24 VDC signals, externally wetted 220 VAC/DC signals or externally wetted 277 VAC/DC signals. Its 1000 Hz input sampling rate enables rapid and reliable detection of status changes.
Two analog input channels support 0–20 mA and 4–20 mA DC signals, allowing the device to connect with external transducers. Programmable zero and full-scale settings make it suitable for monitoring temperature, pressure, flow and other process variables converted into standard current signals.
For remote control applications, the PMC-521D-A5 can be configured with six Form A mechanical relay outputs together with 21 digital inputs and two analog inputs, or as a dedicated version with 20 digital outputs. Each relay output supports a maximum load of 5 A at 250 VAC or 30 VDC.
The built-in SOE log stores up to 1,024 time-stamped events with ±1 ms resolution, including power-on and power-off events, configuration changes and DI/DO status changes. A battery-backed real-time clock provides timing accuracy of approximately 0.5 seconds per day.
For system integration, the terminal includes two optically isolated RS-485 ports and one 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet port. It supports Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP and SNTP, enabling straightforward integration with SCADA systems, building management systems, industrial automation platforms and CET’s PecStar iEMS.
